On the eve of your birthday at the stroke of midnight I look to your image on my wall and turn my attention to the famous quote by Kahil Gibran who wrote: 

The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day cannot unveil the mystery of light.

If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life.

For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.

When I read these words I'm reminded of one of the many lessons that you are trying to teach me in your silent voice and with your invisible body. Embrace life. Live life and don’t waste a single moment wondering what could be.
